Ingredients
- 6 Fresh, crisp green peppers
- 1lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon garlic
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1 cup rice (prepared)
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 (14 1/2) can diced tomatoes (or 2 c. fresh tomatoes)
Note
You may also try cooking them covered with tomato sauce, with the last 15 minutes topped with Mozzarella cheese. We have made them both ways - with and without the tomato sauce on top. It's great either way!
Directions
Step 1

Saute ground beef and add onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Fold in rice, Worcestershire sauce, cheese, and tomatoes. |
Step 2

Clean peppers by cutting off tops and removing seeds. Stuff peppers with meat mixture. Place, standing upright in about 1 inch water. Bake about 30 min. at 350 degrees. |
