Baltimore Peach Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Yeast
  • 1/4 cup Warm Water
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2.5 cups Flour

Directions

Step 1
Dissolve yeast and warm water together.
Step 2
Cream together butter and sugar, then add to yeast mixture.
Step 3
Mix in eggs flour salt and milk.
Step 4
Spread batter in greased 9x13 pan.
Step 5
Apply topping: 3 cups sliced Hollabaugh peaches - arrange in rows on top of batter. Combine and sprinkle on peaches:1/2 cup of brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon. Melt 3 T. butter and drizzle over peaches.
Step 6
Let rise for one hour and bake for 25-30 minuets at 375 degrees.

  2. Do the peaches and topping go on top before or after it is baked?

    • Good question! I know the recipe is a little confusing. They go on before. I’m going to try to make that a little more clear for everyone, so thanks for asking!
