SOURDOUGH STARTER CLASS
SATURDAY, JANUARY 18, 2025, 10:30-11:30am & 12-1pm
Back by popular demand! Learn all about sourdough starters with us. Sweet Thyme Breads & Treats will provide a demonstration on how to feed and take care of starters. You will also sample different sourdough breads. Cost is $20 and pre-registration is required. Participants must be 12 years of age or older. Registration includes:
- Starter samples in a jar
- Packets of instructions
- A general recipe of how to use the starters in a recipe
COOKIE DECORATING CLASS
SATURDAY, JANUARY 25, 2025, 10am-12pm
Always wanted to decorate sugar cookies? In this fun 2-hour long class, we will cover the basic tools used to decorate sugar cookies. We will talk about tips for cookie making and icing consistency. Then, we will be doing 6 themed cookies that will taste amazing and will look even better once you’ve completed your decorating!
We’ll provide everything you will need: cookies, icing and a box to take your cookies home! This class is open to all ages!

LET’S COOK CHARCUTERIE BOARDS
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2025, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Do you like to entertain? Do you want to switch up your ordinary meal routine? Let’s Cook Charcuterie Boards is for you if you answered yes to any of these questions! Charcuterie boards can make a fun family meal or can serve as a creative appetizer. Learn the basic steps to create an exciting board in this class!
In this hands-on class, we invite you to practice creating condiments from scratch and putting a delicious charcuterie board together with Penn State Extension Educators. What are you waiting for? Let’s Cook with Extension!

SOURDOUGH BREAD FOLDING & SHAPING CLASS
SATURDAY, MARCH 1, 2025, 1:00-2:00pm
Learn all about sourdough techniques with us! Sweet Thyme Breads & Treats will provide a demonstration, and participants will learn hands-on how to properly shape a boule loaf of sourdough bread, try 3 different folding techniques, and learn scoring styles and techniques. There will be several optional ingredients to fold into your loaf that you shape. Participants will leave with a loaf to take home to bake, and a packet with instructions to follow! Participants must be 12+ years of age.
Cost is $20 and pre-registration is required.
STAINED-GLASS CLASS WITH CHRIS PARKER
SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 2025, 10:30am-1:30pm
Make your own stained glass artwork with stained glass artist, Chris Parker. All supplies will be provided. For this class, you can choose between a variety of projects when you get here, including a honeycomb, Cardinal, daffodil, mushroom, and turtle! You will learn the copper foil technique and your project will be ready to take home with you at conclusion of the class. Must be at least 12 years old to participate.
Cost is $55 per person. You will pick your design the day of the event and all supplies are included in your registration. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited, register today!
