This recipe hails from Darcy Tyson, a long-time employee at the Hollabaugh Family Farm!

Ingredients

  • 1lb Loose Sausage (Apple sausage is great in this recipe!)
  • 4 Medium Apples (Golden Delicious, Jonagold, or Nittany are good options, but any good baking and cooking apple will do!)
  • 4 Medium Potatoes (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 4 teaspoons sugar

Directions

Step 1
Fry the sausage and set aside.
Step 2
Combine the flour and sugar and set aside.
Step 3
Slice the apples and potatoes thinly.
Step 4
Arrange layers of sausage, apples, and potatoes in a 9x13 greased baking dish, sprinkling each layer with sugar and flour as you go.
Step 5
Cover tightly with foil.
Step 6
Poke a small hole in the center of the foil to let steam escape.
Step 7
Bake at 375 for 1 hour.
