As we prepare for the 3rd Annual Bruce Hollabaugh Memorial 5K & Fun Run on April 11, 2027, we can’t help but reflect on the incredible support we’ve received from our community over the past two years. What began as a way to honor Bruce’s memory and continue his legacy of giving back has grown into something truly special.
From the excitement at the starting line to the smiles and celebrations at the finish, both races have brought together an inspiring mix of first-time participants, returning runners, dedicated sponsors, volunteers, family, and friends. The overwhelming generosity and enthusiasm of our community have made these events so much more than a race. They have become a celebration of Bruce’s life, his love for his community, and the lasting impact he continues to have on so many.
To our sponsors, runners, walkers, donors, volunteers, and everyone who has contributed to the success of these first two events, THANK YOU! Whether you’ve supported us financially, donated items for our much-loved swag bags, volunteered your time, or simply cheered from the sidelines, you’ve played an important role in making these events memorable and meaningful.
As we look ahead to our third annual race, we are excited to build on this momentum with a goal of surpassing $50,000 in total funds raised for Bruce’s endowment. We hope you’ll join us once again among the blooming orchards as we celebrate Bruce’s life, strengthen our community, and continue growing a legacy that will make a difference for generations to come.
For Bruce, We Will Farm. For Bruce, We Run.
The Bruce A. Hollabaugh Memorial Endowment Fund
In March 2022, our family and farm experienced an unimaginable loss when Bruce Hollabaugh, a third-generation family member, passed away unexpectedly at just 41 years old.
Bruce was many things to many people: a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. As Production Manager at Hollabaugh Bros., he was deeply committed to the family farm and the agricultural community. Despite his many responsibilities, Bruce always made time to give back, supporting the people, organizations, and causes that meant so much to him.
Following his passing, our family embraced a simple but powerful promise: “For Bruce, We Will Farm.” Those words continue to guide us as we honor his memory, carry forward his passion for agriculture, and celebrate his remarkable spirit of community service.
To ensure Bruce’s legacy of generosity lives on, his parents, Brad and Kay Hollabaugh, established the Bruce A. Hollabaugh Memorial Endowment Fund through the Adams County Community Foundation. The fund provides lasting support to the charities and community initiatives Bruce cared deeply about throughout his life.
In June 2025, the endowment made its first distribution to the Upper Adams School District Intermediate School to support its Garden Club through the purchase of raised garden beds, gardening tools, and other supplies. Gardening was something near and dear to Bruce and our family, making this first gift especially meaningful. Seeing the fund already making a difference in our community is a powerful reminder that Bruce’s legacy continues to grow.
