No matter what your age, you’ll learn a lot during an interactive tour here at Hollabaugh Bros. Fruit Farm! From preschool to senior citizen groups, there’s something for everyone on one of our tours. Here are just a few of the things you can do on a tour at Hollabaugh Brothers:

• In the fall, pick apples, right off the tree, or plant a vegetable, herb, or flower plant in the spring and summer
• Take a wagon ride around the farm, learning about many of our different growing practices
• Take a journey through a day in the life of a honeybee
• Learn about current topics affecting our industry today such as invasive species of insects, changing weather patterns, and the challenges of finding workers to hand pick all our fruit
• Sip a cup of ice cold apple cider while you browse our educational bee room, take our apple quiz, and learn about what it means to be an I.P.P.M. grower!

All Tours are by Appointment Only

(General Availability ranges from April through October)

Tours must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance, but a greater lead-time is desirable.

While any age group is welcome to tour at Hollabaugh Brothers, our standard tour most consistently meets the curricular needs of pre-K through 3rd graders, but we also have tours designed to meet the curricular needs of middle school, high school, and even college students.

Wagon Tour:

Standard Wagon Tour – $8.00 per student and $8.00 per chaperone for 20 or more total people*.

• Includes: Bee Room presentation, wagon ride though the orchard, apple picking**, and apple cider samples.
• Pumpkin Picking*** – Choose to pick one small pumpkin (1-2 lbs.) per person from our pumpkin patch. Substitute with apple picking OR do both for $10.00 per person.

Walking Tours:

Standard Guided Walking Tour – $8.00 per student and $8.00 per chaperone*.

• Includes: Bee Room presentation, wagon ride through the orchard, apple picking**, and apple cider samples.

Self-Guided Walking Tour – $3.00 per person (3 years and under – free).

• Includes: Self-guided walking tour brochure and self-guided walking tour through the orchard. (Registration is NOT required).

* We require a minimum of 10 people for any guided tour of our farm. We require at least 20 people to take the tour wagon out; otherwise a flat fee (rate for 20 people) must be paid.

** When available during harvest season; when not available, apples or other seasonal fruit will be provided.

*** September and October only.

While still remaining comprehensive, the primary topics of an adult tour will be catered towards each group’s specific interests. The main discussion points are largely up to the discretion of the group members.

Wagon Tour:

Standard Wagon Tour – $14.00 per person for 20 or more people*.

• Includes: Bee Room presentation, wagon ride through the orchard, apple picking**, five free apples or a pint of seasonal fruit, and apple cider and apple cider donut samples.

Deluxe Dumpling Wagon Tour – $17.00 per person for 20 or more people*.

• Includes: Bee Room presentation, apple dumpling demonstration, wagon ride through
  the orchard, apple picking**, five free apples or a pint of seasonal fruit, apple cider and apple cider donut samples, and an apple dumpling for everyone to take home.

Walking Tours:

Standard Guided Walking Tour – $14.00 per person*.

• Includes: Bee Room presentation, guided walking tour through the orchard, apple picking**, five free apples or a pint of seasonal fruit, and apple cider and apple cider donut samples.

Deluxe Dumpling Guided Walking Tour – $17.00 per person*.

• Includes: Bee Room presentation, apple dumpling demonstration, guided walking tour through the orchard, apple picking**, five free apples or a pint of seasonal fruit, apple cider and apple cider donut samples, and an apple dumpling for everyone to take home.

Self-Guided Walking Tour – $3.00

• Includes: Self-guided walking tour brochure and self-guided walking tour through the orchard. (Registration is NOT required).
